unlike all other seats where the nut is accessible, this one is molded into the tank with absolutely no way to access it. Kohler is willing to sell me a "special" tool for 40.00, but there has to be someone out there that has figured this out with a less expensive outcome????|||use a pair of pliers to hold the nut and then unscrew the bolt.
Try spraying some WD 40 to loosen the nut. Then use a knife or something unde the head of the screw to hold the screw taught while you're unscrewing.|||Dremmel with one of those little one inch carbide wheels
